This resource helps your student, or child, reduce their dependency on addictive technology, such as smartphones, tablets & personal computers. Using a step-by-step Action Plan & Contract, students gets students first thinking about the ways in which they use technology in their everyday lives.
After this, the the scaffolding takes them through action steps that focus on reducing dependency. The package comes with activities for setting a usage schedule, choosing times where to stop using a device (such as while doing homework), and a section for finding the right help and support along the way.
There is also a daily reflection log that you can use to track mood and set personal goals. And even a parent note that can be sent home to help get support and buy-in outside of school.
This is a vital mental health resource for today’s students. Help them break away from the addictive glow of their devices by getting them to commit to an Action Plan that will start to build positive technology habits for the rest of their lives.
WHAT TEACHERS on TpT ARE SAYING
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Travis said, “What I like about this resource is that it encourages accountability from the student, rather than making device overuse purely an issue to be solved by administration and parents…Teachers struggling with device use in class, this resource is for you!”
