This behavior tracker helps you collect data on your student’s behavior from class-to-class. This makes it easier to find the right support for student achievement and success. Use it for character education, in counseling, or as a classroom teacher;Â it works great no matter what department you are in!

How to Use This Behavior Tracker
This resource will train your students to be accountable for their behavior. After you print out the tracker, they bring to each class themselves and the teacher marks that day’s behavior across 6 domains: participation, focus, respect of other people, punctuality, growth mindset, and ability to follow directions.
Use the behavior tracker virtually on Google Slides or Google Docs and cut back on printing costs. Going digital also makes it easier to include more teachers in each student’s progress.
How Does it Work?
The tracker includes an easy-to-use grading scale! The scale presents a simple metric of performance that can be used for each of the 6 domains. While it is up to the teacher (or school) where acceptable standards fall, it is best to manage expectations depending on student age with respect to the mean.
For example: Middle school years students ages 11-14 would more likely be developing in each category and would not exhibit mastery in any until later. Equally, a higher mark such as ‘Mastering’ for ‘Following Directions’ is something expected of upper-secondary students and the expectation should be set accordingly.
*It is recommended to always involve the student on the behavior tracker in conversations of measurement, as well as rewards for achieving success.
