Four Ways to Use this Resource
✅ As a board game: Yes! These questions are presented in a board game format with chance cards and other surprises. It’s great for gamifying things in the classroom.
✅ On task cards: All 36 questions are on individual cards for having students interact and speak to one another during class. Easily mix them up and give them out at random or play a fun quiz-quiz-trade cooperative game.
✅ On the handout pages: All questions are spread across 2 handout pages, so it is easy to print this out and give to students sitting in pairs.
✅ Digitally on a pre-keyed PowerPoint: Click your way through all 36 questions on a presentation that is interactive and eco-friendly! Click any card at random on the main menu to visit each question. Discuss online or in class each card and its content. The cards disappear automatically after you return to the main menu. NO PRINTING REQUIRED.
All 36 Would Your Rather questions help students get to know new peers or groups of people. The questions promote an active dialogue in class by building trust when meeting someone for the first time. There are Would You Rather questions that will make you laugh, question yourself, wonder, and think critically.
Like all icebreakers, this activity is great for building a community of learners on the first day of class and sets the tone for the rest of the year. This is a great, easy activity that requires no prep and can be used at the drop of a hat.
